The Field & Forest Fold is a field-ready herbal first aid kit designed for the wild wanderer, homesteader, outdoor adventurer, and roadside traveler alike. Each element inside is a bridge between traditional plant medicine and practical first aid—made to help you respond with confidence when scrapes, stings, burns, or bruises find you far from a medicine cabinet.

Every kit is hand-crafted in our off-grid, solar-powered apothecary in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Colorado, where wildcrafted botanicals meet resilient design. Packed in durable, reusable aluminum tins and tucked into a weather-resistant burlap pouch, it’s a sustainable companion built to last through many adventures. Inside, you’ll find a curated blend of plant remedies, essential tools, and an educational weatherproof instruction pamphlet.

Botanical Components

• Wound Wizard Salve (2 oz): A blend of yarrow, calendula, self-heal, and chaparral infused oils, beeswax, vitamin E, and essential oils crafted to support the skin’s natural healing process.
• Piñon Pinekeeper’s Drawing Salve (1 oz): Resin-rich and aromatic drawing salve for splinters, infections, and impurities. Crafted with piñon pine sap, bentonite clay, and activated charcoal in a shea and beeswax base. Includes pine needle, cedarwood, rosemary, tea tree, frankincense, and myrrh—essential oils selected for their cleansing, antimicrobial, and tonifying properties while also enhancing the resinous, forest-like scent profile of the salve.
• Sand & Summits Wound Powder (1 oz): A dry herbal blend of chaparral, usnea, yarrow, comfrey, plantain, and other botanicals. Designed for application to acute wounds to help stop bleeding, prevent infection, and encourage healing.
• Wound Wash Concentrate (1 oz, plastic BPA-free lab reagent bottle): A concentration herbal extract of usnea, yarrow, and calendula in a water-alcohol-glycerin base. Designed for dilution in water and used for cleaning minor wounds.

Essential First Aid Components

• Field Bandage Tin: Includes gauze pads, bamboo bandages, butterfly closures, gauze roll, and medical tape.
• Irrigation Syringe: Essential for wound rinsing.
• Instruction Pamphlet: Easy-to-follow guidance on herbal first aid and kit use.

Packaging:

All described components come nestled in a 5″x7″ cotton burlap pouch affixed with a green first aid cross sticker tied with a leaf & hemp twine and accented with a silver leaf charm. Specific leaf type charm type varies from kit to kit.
